Northwoods Baptist Church is located in the City of Rhinelander, having been a part of the community since 1973. Nestled in the heart of Wisconsin’s Northwoods, Rhinelander is home to a great deal of wildlife, pristine beauty, and natural resources. Many visit and enjoy the area for multiple options of outdoor recreation, with many trails and lakes in the county. (Rhinelander is known as the “Ice Fishing Capital of the World”). While it is a great place to live and vacation, many in Rhinelander are in spiritual darkness.
At Northwoods Baptist we are called to be a beacon of light in our community and an oasis for believers to be refreshed and outfitted to serve the Lord, one another, and our community.
We are committed to preaching the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ as the only hope of salvation. Therefore, we believe that salvation is all of God and comes to us through the scriptures alone, by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, to the glory of God alone.
As a church family, we have a wide range of ages, activities, and ministries. But our core commitment is the preaching and teaching of the Bible, prayer, fellowship, and the administration of the ordinances – believer’s Baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper.
